We tried to get a loan modification but our bank kept telling us we didn't qualify. When we finally paid $2000 to have a company help, we did get approved, but we got a temporary modification and a baloon payment. The bank said we could short sale the home. When we were deciding on who to hire in the beginning of the scary decision, we actually interviewed a few other agents in town 1st and 1 of them didn't return our call for nearly a week. The other 2 didn't seem to know as much as Sherry did and we are super thankful we chose her. One of the agents we spoke to uses an attorney and said the attorney would also be charging a fee for their legal services which didn't sound right to us. The realtor said he wouldn't be helping at all with the short sell but would get the information for the attorney. When we tried to call the attorney, we waited days for a return call.
